Schiedam is a lively city, known worldwide for producing gin from the
many windmills. The history of the city of Schiedam dates back to the 13th
century. Just take a look at the historic buildings and ports and you will see
what I mean.
The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of a former bank building.
Built in 1935, under the supervision of the famous Dutch architect Dudok. In
1997 the bank building was converted into an apartment complex, while the
striking appearance has been preserved. The building still holds its

The apartment complex has a closed entrance with doorbells and
mailboxes. Through the preserved central hall, you walk to the stairwell, the
elevator and basement storerooms. The apartment is located on the 1st floor,
accessible by elevator and stairs.
After you walked to the 1st floor to the back of the building
overlooking the private parking places, you end up at the last apartment in
row. The front door of the apartment is located at the end of the gallery, which means: no passers-by!
Enter a light and spacious hall. At the end of the corridor you will
find the toilet with sink, storage / laundry room and further access to the
bedroom and living room. The entire apartment has smoothly finished walls,
large windows in characteristic steel frames and a beautifully oiled cherry
wood floor. The living room has high ceilings and offers a view over the
Tuinlaan and ‘De Plantage’ – the oldest city park in the Netherlands. This
